Exploration of Asymmetry & Balance 4 Week Online Class Series

trisha-yoga-image

While symmetry has often been promoted as the “end goal” in yoga, Pilates, and fitness, the reality is that our two sides will never be the same. Despite what you may have been taught, asymmetry is normal and not a signal that you’re more likely to injure yourself or experience pain.

This class series will help you better understand your asymmetries and integrate them into full body movement from a place of curiosity and ease.

Expect to...

  • Learn how to creatively use yoga blocks and resistance bands for proprioceptive feedback (body awareness) and resistance.
  • Explore mini movement flows and different ways to improve standing balance, mobility, and muscular control.
  • Play with movement strategies to increase body awareness and reduce muscular tension and joint discomfort.

In this 4 week class exploration, you'll experience a blend of somatic, mobility, yoga, and stability techniques that have been sequenced to address common areas of muscle tension, instability and joint discomfort.

Week 1: Finding foundations w/ hips, ankles, & feet

Week 2: Creative core & ribcage connections + spinal mobility
