There is no one size fits all approach to fitness which is where individualized strength programming can be incredibly helpful - particularly if you need specific modifications or want workouts designed with the equipment you have access to.

Some of the things that I specialize in include:

  • Strength training for hypermobility
  • Low volume strength programming, which is a great option if you are hypermobile, have difficulty recovering, or are prone to pain flares.
  • Exercise modifications to work around areas of joint discomfort, mobility limitations, or injuries
  • Functional strength training to help you rebuild strength after an injury or time off
  • Workouts to compliment other forms of movement, such as yoga, Pilates, or running

What's included in your custom workout plans

  • An initial 1 hour ZOOM call before I design your program, so I can learn about your specific needs, goals, exercise history, and what exercises will work best for you.
  • An individualized functional strength training program for up to 3 workouts a week designed around the equipment you have access to at home OR in the gym uploaded into the TrainHeroic App.
  • Direct access to me via the TrainHeroic app to ask questions or send me videos if you want feedback on form.
Custom Strength & Mobility Programs

Custom workout plans are updated monthly. There's also an optional 30 minute check-in over ZOOM if you want to discuss any program adjustments that you might need.

The TrainHeroic App is a simple to use app that allows you to access your programming anywhere, anytime from your phone.

It's perfect for home use or the gym, because you can see a video tutorial for each exercise without ever having to leave the app and your can record your weight selection and reps as you complete the workout, so you can track your progress!

The app also has the ability to us to chat via text and you can upload videos of yourself if you want feedback on your form for any of the exercises.

Custom Programming is for you if:

  • You have a history of injury, hypermobility, or pain and you are looking for an approach to strength training and fitness that meets your body where it’s at and makes considerations for these challenges.
  • You want some accountability and support + are excited to get stronger!
  • You're looking for a customized mobility or strength program that matches your current fitness level and goals and will help you see long term results.
  • You want a program with workouts that match the equipment that you have access to and are comfortable using - be it at home or in a gym - including kettlebells, dumbbells, bands, etc.

Custom programming is not for you if:

  • You are currently experiencing unmanaged chronic pain and are not under the care of a medical provider or physical therapist to help you manage it.
  • You have an active injury that you have not sought diagnosis and treatment for from an appropriate medical provider.
  • You have an expectation that I can give you a set of exercises to “fix” you. While I have extensive experience helping clients get stronger with fewer injuries, it is beyond my scope of practice to treat or manage pain. Beyond that, our bodies are very complicated. I can’t promise you a specific outcome or that you can be “pain and injury free,” which is unrealistic given that we will all experience some level of pain or injuries during various points of our lives.
  • You don't feel comfortable doing exercises on your own or without direct supervision.

About me:

I’m a virtual personal trainer and nutrition coach with a B.S. in Exercise Science and over 15 years experience helping people improve mobility, build strength, explore their physical potential and move beyond pain and injury.

As a member of the bendy weirdo club, I have a lot of knowledge around strength for hypermobility, but I work with people who have a myriad of interests, including building or maintaining muscle mass, aging better, and moving with less pain.

My fitness wisdom has been featured in SELF magazine, Women's Health, and Girls Gone Strong. When I'm not in the gym, you can find me watching reality TV and drinking all the coffee.
