Personalized Nutrition Coaching

Feel capable, secure, and calm in your approach to eating with a clear understanding of how to structure and plan your meals to match your  needs and goals without the rigidity and misery that is often associated with trying to “eat better.”

Let's be real. The nutrition space is a minefield of misinformation and opinions telling us what to do, how to eat, and how we should feel about our bodies.

What gets left out of this conversation?

The nuance of what YOU want for yourself and how to apply this stuff to your life, food preferences, and goals.

This is where I can help.

I'm not here to tell you what to eat or what to want for yourself.

Rather, I'll provide personalized options and evidence based education on the paths you can take to structure how you eat in a way that is health promoting, low stress, and in alignment with what you want for yourself - be it repairing your relationship with food, eating to better support yourself in workouts, or fat loss.

During our time together you'll get support and compassionate accountability to figure it all out, because while this stuff can be simple, the path isn't always easy - especially in the culture we live in.

After our time together:

  • You know how to structure and prepare meals without rules or rigidity.
  • You’re attentive, but not obsessive about how you eat. No foods are off limits!
  • You know what foods and meals make you feel good and support you in workouts and daily life.
  • You can identify when you’re hungry and easily stop when you’re full versus constantly questioning what the “right” amount of food is.
  • Having treats in the house is no big deal. You often forget they’re even there!
  • You can navigate challenges that arise around food when life gets stressful and hard.
  • If you have a body composition or weight loss goal, you understand how to get there without losing your mind, but you feel so much better that it doesn’t feel as important as it used to.

More on this further down the page, but I will never ask you to weigh yourself, take progress pictures, or use a calorie tracking app. If you feel comfortable with these tools, we can discuss if they are a good option for you, but if anything makes you uncomfortable or is triggering, you don’t have to do it.

Still not sure if this service is right for you?

Let’s see if this helps!

Personalized Nutrition Coaching is for you, if you want to:

  • Structure your meals to have more energy during your day or your workouts.
  • Establish more normalized eating patterns and reduce stress and decision fatigue around meals.
  • Eat in a way that is health promoting and has structure without rigidity or obsession.
  • Reframe your mindset around your body and food, so you can live free of food rules and eat the things you enjoy without guilt, stress, or shame.
  • Increase self-trust around food and awareness of hunger cues.
  • Learn evidence based nutrition information and receive structure and accountability with compassion, empathy, and unconditional support.
  • Change your body composition (aka lose weight while maintaining muscle) with an emphasis on awareness of disordered eating, transitioning to weight maintenance, body acceptance, and repairing your relationship with food.

A note on if you have a fat loss or weight loss goal:

I know this is a controversial topic, but if you want to change your body for cosmetic purposes, I believe that it’s my job to help you do this in a way that involves realistic goal setting, minimizes the risks of disordered eating, and lends itself towards long term weight maintenance.

This is also why I will never ask you to weigh yourself, take progress pictures, or use a calorie tracking app. If you feel comfortable with these tools, we can discuss if they are a good option for you, but if anything makes you uncomfortable or is triggering, you don’t have to do it.

And if you DON’T have a body composition or weight related goal, we’ll never discuss your weight and will stick exclusively to weight neutral tools and discussion.

Personalized Nutrition Coaching with me is NOT for you if:

  • You want me to tell you exactly what to eat. I can work with you to come up with meal ideas, grocery lists, and strategies for eating, but it’s out of my scope of practice to give you a specific meal plan, and I don’t believe in them anyway.
  • You need help adjusting your nutrition to manage a specific medical condition. I’m not a medical provider and would recommend seeing a registered dietitian for this.
  • You have an active eating disorder or suspect you have an eating disorder. Please seek treatment from a qualified medical professional if this is you.
  • You want help implementing a fad diet. I don’t coach on keto, intermittent fasting, clean eating, or juice fasts. I’m here to help you break free from food rules, not reinforce them or make new ones.
  • Your primary goal is aggressive or fast weight loss or you’re trying to get down to very low levels of body fat. The way I teach doesn’t lend itself to these things.
  • You’re looking for an anti-diet or intuitive eating coach. There’s tons of great coaches who specialize in those areas, but that’s not what I teach.
  • You want a quick fix or guaranteed outcome. For most of us, there’s a lot to unpack around our beliefs and habits with food. This stuff isn’t fast or linear. It takes self-compassion and time.
